Establishing authentication for your OpenEdge database

To prevent unauthorized users from accessing, modifying, or removing database files, you can establish appropriate database administration (DBA) and user-access privileges. The process for establishing authentication depends on whether your database has 4GL tables only, SQL tables only, or both 4GL and SQL tables.
